Of all the fairytale creatures, unicorns are perhaps the most beloved. Symbolizing purity, innocence, and strength, the unicorn has woven indelible threads of magic and mystery in the tapestries of myth and legend throughout the ages. Sublime in beauty and power, unicorns have inspired countless writers, artists, and fantasy lovers since the middle ages.

The Sterling Silver Medieval Unicorn Necklace is part of my Woodland Fairytale Collection, which features my original hand carved/sculpted designs. For this pendant, I was particularly influenced by medieval illustrated manuscripts and woven tapestries of the 15th century. It is sculpted in a rampant pose borrowed from medieval heraldry, and features a tufted lion's tail, cloven feet, and a goat's beard.
