The phoenix is inherently one of the most powerfully symbolic mythological creatures. Also known as the firebird, it is a symbol of life triumphing over death, resurrection, renewal, and strength. It is interrelated with the sun and fire, and is itself reborn of its ashes when it dies.
The Bronze Phoenix Necklace is part of my Woodland Fairytale Collection, which features my original hand carved/sculpted designs. For this pendant, I drew inspiration from medieval illustrated manuscripts. It is sculpted in a circular pose which suggests its cyclical nature.
This unique design features an embellished chain, with garnet and Oregon Sunstone gemstone beads in fiery hues. The phoenix pendant drips with sparkling briolettes of garnet, Sunstone, and tourmaline. A truly special and one-of-a-kind piece.
